Format: K3 K6, and K12 WSCF rated divisions. Five or six round Swiss G30, or G25, d5. Open USCF rated Division G45, d5 4 rounds
Awards: K3: 3 team trophies, individual trophies to top 5 players and medals to all
K6: 3 team trophies, individual trophies to top 5 players and medals to all
K12: 3 team trophies, individual trophies to top 5 players and medals to all
Open: A trophy each to each pair with the highest combined point total in these combinations: Father – Daughter, Father – Son, Mother – Son, Mother – Daughter, Coach – Student, and Friend – student. Open division is open to adults and students. Adult partner for awards plays in the open and student partner plays in the scholastic.
Award Ceremony around 3:30 pm if not before.
Entry: WSCF Scholastic Divisions: $10 per player for advance registration on line and payment at the tournament. $15 on-site registration Open Division: Registration and payment on line. $20 in advance. $25 on site.
Check-in from 8:00 to 8:40. Round 1 begins close to 9:00. Those arriving after 8:40 can register for Round 2. Please check in as early as possible. For advance registration, register online at www.wisconsinscholasticchess.org before 11:00 pm on November 30th Registration fee will be paid at the tournament. Make checks payable to Washington High School.
Lunch: Available for purchase on-site. Chess Store Open
Supervision: At least one designated adult supervisor must be present always during the tournament to oversee your school’s team, or individual participants who are in K through 8th grade. Bring: Pencils and clocks if you have them.
