60 Minutes recently featured a segment about chess education in Mississippi (Watch the Video Here) in which they highlight how Dr Jeff Burlington is changing the lives of over 200 students in his small rural town of Franklin County.
Last year, with the help of hundreds of volunteers and the support of generous donations, we were able to facilitate chess tournaments, camps and clubs for over 2000 students all across the state.
Like Dr Jeff Burlington from Franklin County, Mississippi, our mission at WSCF is to bring this life affirming learning and hope to students across Wisconsin through chess. We could not have achieved our mission without the support of volunteers, parents and donations.
We have big plans for our upcoming fiscal year (starting July 1) but we can’t realize those goals without your support. Some of our goals for next year include:
Help us complete our mission and support us for this fiscal year. We have set the goal of raising $10,000 to ensure we can continue being a positive impact on the lives of youth. Your support is greatly appreciated.
