Empowering Young Minds Through Chess
Advanced Chess Camp
The advanced camps are for students entering grades 4 through 12 who are rated over 1000 and have mastered everything taught in the regular camp. This means students who have experience taking notation, have good tactical vision, do not drop pieces, and want to learn how to get to an 1800 rating. This camp will focus on the middle game, game analysis, planning for the end game, positional evaluation, and calculating. Camps will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and the specific location in the Milwaukee metro is to be determined. Probably at Old Guard Games.
