Students will learn opening strategies, the five basic checkmates, and focus on good board vision. This class will be a balance of chess play and instruction. There will be a tournament with trophies and medals. Students need to come to the first class knowing how to move the pieces. Free lessons on how to move the pieces can be found at www.chesskid.com.
