WSCF will host two holiday chess camps. Each camp will be 5 hours per day for 3 days on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec 27, 28 and 29. Each day will start at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm with two 15 breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. Students are to bring a lunch and snacks. Students must be in at least 2nd grade to enter.

Intermediate Camp
This camp is for students who have ratings over 800 and below 1500 or who have mastered the six basic mating patterns and can readily identify and use the 6 most basic tactics. This camp will be led by William Hegelmeyer and will focus on openings, ending strategy and other intermediate skills. There will be two 5 round Swiss tournaments in this camp. One that is WSCF rated and one that is USCF rated. USCF membership required. Register and pay in
advance on WSCF website at www.wisconsinscholasticchess.org. Trophies awarded to top two or top 3 participants in each tournament depending upon number of participants.

Beginners Camp
This camp is for students who already know how to move the pieces and have some experience either at a club or online via Chesskid.com, LiChess or Chess.com. Student will work on mastery of the correct opening moves, mastery of the six basic mates and some tactics. This camp will be led by Bob Patterson-Sumwalt. There will be a 5-round embedded Swiss style tournament with trophies going to the top 3 or 5 players depending on number of
participants. Medals to all.

Location
These two camps will take place simultaneously at Evangel Assembly of God Church at 9920 Good Hope Road in Milwaukee. Please arrive at 8:45. Parents do not need to stay. Be sure to pack a lunch.

Please register and pay in advance by 8:00 am on Monday December 26. Pre-registration fee is $75. Onsite registration is acceptable with the onsite fee of $90. Camp requires a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 30 to run.
