WSCF offers three levels of chess instruction with specific practices and instruction for each. These levels are beginner, intermediate, and advanced. In all camps students will experience a balance of instruction and competitive play with a tournament of at least 5 rounds with awards of trophies and medals. We find it is best for some students to take each level multiple times until they master the skills and concepts to move onto the next level.

It is important to have students enroll in the level that best fits their chess knowledge and experience. Most camps are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Most of our camps are with local recreation departments. We can also schedule a camp with a club or a school.

If you would like to host a camp, don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss and set up a virtual consultation. Email info@wisconsinscholasticchess.org.
