“Chess is more than a game—it’s a gateway to lifelong learning, resilience, and innovation. At Regal Rexnord, we’re proud to host the Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Tournament, where young minds gather not just to compete, but to grow. Chess teaches children to think critically, solve problems creatively, and make decisions under pressure—skills that are foundational to success in STEM fields and beyond. As Ben Franklin once noted, chess has been the amusement of civilizations for centuries. Today, it’s a tool for shaping the next generation of engineers, scientists, and leaders. We believe that by investing in chess, we’re investing in the future of innovation.”
