The Midwest Regional Championships inaugural event is a collaboration between the International Academy of Chess (IAC), Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Federation (WSCF), and Chess Club at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. This tournament will include Scholastic and Adult Divisions.

SCHOLASTIC  ADULT
Five round Swiss tournament. Game 30. 

WSCF Divisions: K3u600, K8u1000, K12

USCF Divisions: U800, U1200, Open

Awards: Ten (10) individual trophies and five (5) team trophies per division

 Four round Swiss tournament. Game 60. 

Adult USCF Divisions: U1600, Open

Prizes: $1000 in USCF Adult Division
WSCF ENTRY FEES

  • $20 – by January 16 at 11 p.m.
  • $25 – by January 18 at 11 p.m.
  • $30 – onsite registration and payment

USCF ENTRY FEES

  • $35 – by December 22 at 8 a.m. 
  • $40 – by December 29 at 8 a.m. 
  • $45 – by January 18 at 11 p.m.
  • $60 – onsite registration and payment
 ENTRY FEES 

  • $40 – by December 29 at 8 a.m.
  • $50 – by January 19 at 7 p.m.
  • $60 – onsite registration and payment
ROUND TIMES: 8:45 a.m. / 10:15 a.m. / 11:30 p.m. / 12:45 p.m. / 2:00 p.m. / Awards 3:30 p.m.

PARKING: Paid parking in Union Garage or street parking around campus.

SUPERVISION: At least one designated adult supervisor must be always present during the tournament to oversee your school’s team or individual participants who are in K-8th grade.
