Old Guard Games Chess Club

Location: Old Guard Games 3132 N. Downer Avenue 53211
Format: A chess club for students K – 12. This club will be led by a WSCF trained
instructor with a 1900 rating. It will be from 6:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday evenings.
The first session will go for 8 weeks. Students who join this club will be able to
compete as a team in WSCF tournaments.
Awards: A five round tournament will be embedded in the 8 weeks and all participants will receive a medal and trophies to the top three players.
Entry: Sign up with Old Guard Games by going to their store or calling them at 414 – 988 – 0161. Enrollment fee is $80 per player. Family discounts available.
WSCF is a 501(c) 3 non-profit whose mission is to promote chess for students throughout Wisconsin as a tool to enhance analytical thinking, critical problem solving, social skills and academic achievement.
