WSCF has been developing a new registration system since April, and it is scheduled to launch on September 1. The new system is designed to make registration faster and easier for families while also saving significant administrative time for WSCF staff.
- Faster registration: parents will only need to enter player information once.
- Secure user sign-in with a password.
- A $5 annual WSCF membership fee, valid through August 31 each year.
- Player rating lookup.
- Player history lookup.
- Division eligibility safeguards.
- Team registration.
- Coach safety protocols and commitment requirements.
- Team membership safeguards.
- Faster tournament setup in WinTD, reducing setup time from 2–4 hours to just a few minutes.
- Faster posting of tournament results.
Final testing is underway now. If you would like to help test the new system, please email bob@wisconsinscholasticchess.org. Users will access the registration system when they click on the “register” link in the event pages. Player rating lookup will be accessible from the home page of the WSCF website.
