Format: K6U700, K12U800, K12 , 5 round Swiss G30 or G25, d5.
Round Times:
9:30, 11:00, 12:15, 1:30, 2:45 Awards 4:00 pm or before.
Use the higher of the Wisconsin Ratings as of April 5th or the USCF Ratings in February Supplement. Find
your Wisconsin rating by looking at the results page from your last tournament.
Awards: All Divisions: 5 individual trophies and 3 team trophies and medals to all.
Biggest Upset: Trophy to the largest upset in the tournament.
Most Improved Player: A trophy will be awarded to the player that has played in WSCF tournaments in October or November and March and who has the largest rating gain. Send an email in advance to apply and give the beginning chess rating from a tournament in October or Novemeber.
Entry Fees: $20 on line or post marked by April 13th , $30 by April 16th , $35 by March 20th , Onsite before 9:00 am, $ 40.
Register on line at www.wisconsinscholasticchess.org . Deadlines occur at midnight on website or by postmark for above dates. No refunds. Withdrawal notices appreciated. Bye Requests: ½ point bye requests in advance to email to td@wisconsinscholasticchess.org . All divisions – except last round
Kalahari Reservations: Chess rate $199 + ( tax) and resort fee of $9.95 for Friday and Saturday , 2 queens, 1 sofa bed for two. Fee based on 2-4 registered guests. Chess rate deadline by March 25th 608-254-5466. Chess rate may be available after that date but not guaranteed. Discount water and theme park passes may be available for day attendees. ((4water park passes come with each room)

Other Water Park Hotels: There are over a half-dozen resorts in the area. Many in the price range of $90 to $120 and all have the same amenities as the Kalahari.
