The camp is on for Friday and the tournament on Saturday is cancelled. 

 

 

November 29th and 30th

 

       This camp is for those who cannot get enough chess and don’t have anything better to do on this weekend!

 

Location:     Central United Methodist Chess Camp   639 N.25th Street Milwaukee 53233

 

Times:           Camp                 Friday   9:00 to 3:30.

                      Tournament        Saturday 8:00 to 3:00

                        Register for both to attend both or register for one only.

 

Format:         Camp:   2nd grade to 8th u800   bring a lunch or go to McDonald’s with an adult.

                       Tournament on Saturday: Open to all. (Don’t have to attend the chess camp)

                      Divisions   K2, K6 and K12

 

Tournament Awards:                 3 individual trophies and 2 team trophies in each division. Award ceremony between 3 and 4 pm.

           

Entry Fee          Tournament: $10 per player for advance registration, $15 on-site registration.

                                 Camp Only:       $25

                                Camp and Tournament $35,        

 

Tournament     Check-in from 8:00 to 8:45 Building opens at 8:00 am. Round 1 begins close to 9:00. Onsite registration for round 1 ends at 8:30. Pre-registrants arriving after 8:45 and on-site registrations arriving after 8:30 can enter the tournament round 2 Please check in as early as possible. For advance registration, register online at www.wisconsinscholasticchess.org before 11:00 pm on November 27th.    Registration fee will be paid at the tournament Checks payable to WSCF

Camp                Please arrive by 9:00 am. Pay the entry fee upon arrival.

 

At the camp we will focus on the 7 basic checkmates, 7 most used tactics and opening strategy.

Lunch: Bring a sack lunch for the camp and tournament or go to McDonalds with an adult. WSCF personnel are not able to take children to McDonalds. (McDonalds across the street)
