WSCF 26-27 Virtual Tournament season begins on Sundays with two practice sessions on Oct. 18 and Oct. 23. The official competition begins Nov 1.

  • Divisions: U800, U1100 and Open
  • Start Times: U800 -5 pm | U1100 5:15 pm | Open 5:30 pm
  • Rounds: In November and December there will be three rounds, in January four rounds, and in February, March and April there will be five rounds
  • Awards: Three trophies to the top winners in each division. Trophies will be awarded at the Kalahari Tournament in Wisconsin Dells on April 2. If you cannot attend, we will ship you the trophy for $20.
  • Floating Divisions: Players’ ratings will likely improve as the season progresses, with the possibility that they may “move up” to the next division. In most cases, players will be able to stay in the division in which they started. If a player does change divisions, points from one division will carry over to the next division.
  • Fee: $30
  • Players may join the tournament at any time up until March 1.

ChessKid memberships: Gold Membership is not needed to play in this tournament . Basic ChessKid membership will suffice. Once you sign up for a ChessKid membership, you will receive an email on how to “join” a tournament and be given a user name and a password if you don’t have one.
